More information about Above San Francisco: A latest Collection of Nostalgic Photographs of the Bay Area

Above San Francisco Nostalgic Photography Book. Used condition. The book cover has various minor damage due to long ages.

    Description:

Above San Francisco is an evocative aerial tour that makes an unprecedented contribution to the photographic record of this exceptional city. Photographed over eight months, in many kinds of weather - everything from bright sunshine to heavy cloud cover - the Bay Area is seen in this book from one end to the other, wherever there was something of interest or beauty to put on film. Added to these all-new aerials are some selected historical photographs, tremendously notably those of pioneer photographer Eadweard Muybridge. Made in 1877, his pictures are matched here for the first time with color photographs of the same scenes 98 years later. Includes a commentary by Alistair Cooke.
