Both tape decks open with no issue and it try’s to read them but it doesn’t play maybe the only cassette I have is a bust or it’s a simple fix but the CD 5 changer works magnificent with no issues and is incredibly loud with the individual speaker a whole house could hear it. It had 2 but one fell off my table and cracked so threw it away years ago but these 2 devices works flawlessly EVEN turned ALL the way up (:
